Ayoolumi Melehon

Founder & CEO, The AandA Group

The Beginning

It all started in Okitipupa, a small town in Ondo State, Nigeria. Born in the early 1990s, Ayoolumi showed leadership qualities from a young age - serving as Senior Prefect at both Ebenezer Anglican Primary School and Comprehensive High School Ilutitun.

His fascination with technology began at a computer hardware institute in Akure, where he learned the fundamentals of hardware and software. This spark led him to Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, where he studied Computer Engineering - first at National Diploma level, then returning in 2012 for his Higher National Diploma.

The Turning Point: NYSC & A Community Computer Lab

In 2015, Ayoolumi was posted to Bauchi State for his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme. What he found there would shape his entire career.

At Faith Revival International Academy, he noticed a glaring gap - students had no access to computers. Instead of just observing, he took action. He rallied the community together and established a fully-funded computer laboratory for the school.

This initiative didn't go unnoticed. The NYSC National Governing Board recognized him with an award in 2016 - a testament to his commitment to bridging the digital divide.

Building AandA: From Vision to Reality

While pursuing his Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Ayoolumi and his wife Ayomide saw an opportunity. Bauchi State needed a proper IT center.

In 2017, they founded AandA Computers and Technologies - their first company. Operating from Shop No. 13 & 14 at Gwallameji Shopping Complex, opposite Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, they offered software development, hardware engineering, web development, mobile apps, and data analysis services.

Two years later, recognizing the need for reliable IT equipment supply, they established AandA Supplies and Imports Limited (2019). Within months, they were handling projects for federal institutions, NGOs, and educational organizations.

The UK Chapter: Taking It Global

With two successful businesses running in Nigeria, Ayoolumi wasn't done learning. In December 2022, he made a bold move - leaving Nigeria to pursue a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Stirling, Scotland. His wife Ayomide joined him in January 2023.

Even while studying abroad, the couple never abandoned their Nigerian businesses. They developed remote monitoring and business analytics solutions to manage operations from thousands of miles away - proving that technology truly knows no borders.

In 2025, Ayoolumi graduated with his MSc in Artificial Intelligence. This milestone sparked the next phase of expansion:

• ✓ AandA Labs Limited - Software development, AI/ML solutions, IT consultancy, and data services (Scotland, UK)
• ✓ AandA Supplies and Imports Limited UK - International trade and wholesale distribution (Scotland, UK)
